Nationalism is a ideal, social movement that focuses on the nation. I'm Nationalistic toward America because I know the America Pledge and I know the national anthem. I show of my nationalism by cerebrating American holidays like Thanksgiving and 4-of-July.
While Nationalism was destroying empires, it also built new nations. Italy formed from one of the crumbling empires. After the Congress of Vienna in 1815, Austria ruled over the Italian province of Venetia and Lombardy in the north, and several small states.

John Locke and "The Enlightenment"
John Locke and "The Enlightenment"
The truth Thomas Jefferson was talking about, in the declaration of independence, was the fact that "all men are created equal." This phrase states that everybody is not created to be treated unfairly than others. Like all others they should be receiving similar or even same "rights" such as Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. These are the three things that every individual should have and even though I mention them as an individual’s but together they form the whole group.According to the declaration of independence the government comes from the people. They decide who should lead it, they decide whether if the choices that are made are good ones. One very important line from the document is that if "Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it." Basically it means if the leader or whoever is in charge of the power, becomes a tyrant or too power hungry then the people have the right to remove him from the position and or make changes to the system. They have the right to form their own form of government to whatever they please to their own "safety and happiness".
You can immediately see the changes in the structure and system in government than from the older ones like monarchy. These ideas were developed and formed by John Locke who gathered bits and pieces of ideas for the perfect government from enlightenment thinkers. Those ideas soon formed into what we have now and that is known as a democracy where the people have power and a say in what goes on in their own country/nation.

Copernicus and the trial of Galileo
Galileo
One of the theories of the solar system is the geocentric theory. The geocentric model is the theory that the Earth is the center of the universe and that everything orbits it. This theory was used up until the 17th century. This was the first theory. It was part of Greek astronomy and philosophy. Ancient philosophers believed that every orbited and centered the Earth. People had looked at the sky and it looked like the stars, moon, the sun and etc. went in a rotation around the Earth.
Another theory of the solar system is the heliocentric theory. The heliocentric model is the theory that the Sun is the center of the theory and that everything orbits it. This theory came out of the scientific revolution. This is the correct theory and the theory that we still use today.
In 1633 Galileo Galilei was put on trial for believing that the earth was not the center of the universe, but that the sun was. He had published the book Letters on the Solar Spots, stating his beliefs on the universe. The Catholic Church put Galileo on trial because he was going against the Church's beliefs. The Catholic Church had believed in the geocentric theory, while Galileo believed in the heliocentric theory.
Scientific Revolution: The Scientific Method
Scientific Meathod
The scientific method in an idea a group of scientist came up with as a way to prove theories. The scientific revolution became a new way of thinking to all scientist. It became the era in which many people/scientist had many ideas, many theory's. For some even, they even had a new crazy theory about a new way of life. For instance aristotle's theory was that heavier objects feel faster then lighter objects. For that to be proven correct took a couple of years.
